League question

I created a league. When the game started I noticed that the teams were kicking off from the goal line and not the 35 yard line. I attempted to edit this setting and could not. Can anyone help me with this. Creating a league has some issues either it takes forever to draft and set the rosters afterward. I don't want to reset this league.

Once the season has started, the ground rules cannot be changed.

You can change the rules after the end of each season

Changing rules during the season would likely cause all sorts of problems, probably why David set the game up as it is. Best way to avoid problems is to check, and double check, before you start a season. There are so many options, its easy to overlook something.

So your saying if I advance to season two I could change the rules without losing my present rosters.

No this is not a bug. It's purposefully designed not to allow rule changes once the season has started. Not only do real leagues not change major rules during a season (the XFL not withstanding), but it would also cause no end of problems from a development standpoint.
 
To address the particular problem, click the [End Season] button. This will advance to the end of the current season, allowing you to make rule changes and keep the previous seasons results.
 
That said, changing major rules can impact a number of things. If you change from 11 to 12 man football, all the teams need to have new playbooks assigned. If, for another example, you change quarter length the stats for the previously played games are going to stand out because they don't reflect the play style you've switched to.
 
There are a number of things like that you'll see if changing rules.
