Do you like to play in the snow?

Post by Breeze »

It's football, of course you do! I was playing around in PSP, trying to replicate the snow end zone effect that comes with the game, and I wasn't able to figure it out. But I DID discover an effect that I thought looked much more realistic. So I decided to see what would happen if I put this effect on the whole field.

Well, here is the snowy field (grass) as it comes in the game:

I think that snow actually falling on grass would look more like the second picture.  I still have to do the turf files and I may add some more snow in between the hashmarks (I'm not sure that looks realistic), but once that's done I will upload these to FBMax.

That was kind of the idea, to draw your attention to the part that is different [:)]

the only noticeable difference is that the one that the game came with looks matted and the one you put in looks more like an actual snowy field.

I like it Mr. Breeze (Drew Breese[:D]) now if the game in league mode just produce more weather changes[:)]

Snowy turf and snowy grass?

Nope they're both grass. jrodsly has the right idea, I was trying tog et the snow to look more realistic. I haven't forgotten about this, just been tied up with other things the past few days...when I get an hour to sit down and wrap this up I will.

I've now uploaded the finished prodcut to FBMax; is it called SnowUpdate.zip.  I decided I didn't like the clear area around the hashmarks (not very realistic either) so that area is now covered in snow.  I've included grass and turf files in my upload, as well as snow layers that you can put on your end zones to create a matching effect.
