RE: Allied CV TF destroys several Japanese supply convoys
Palaus might be rather tough if all those AP's were hauling men there for local defence. Nice sinking tham all though.
hehe for the osaka port attack, shame on him no flying decent CAP over his main fleet base, I doubt he'll do that again:) .. p.s the CV shinano was that damaged by the bombs or earlier damage ?

Yeah, Palau might be tough nut to crack. Allthough, I might just bypass the place alltogether! [;)] ...so that would than be large POW camp! [:D] I haven't made decision on this just yet. I need to deal with Guam first and than I need to evaluate Saipan situation.
CV Shinano was not hit in previous battles. I doubt she even was involved with the Japanese operation Red Dragon. I know I hit CV Junyo, CV Zuikaku and some other CV. (Not Shinano though)
Yeah, FDR is lacking quality fighter pilots due to the fact that he does not have any free training grounds on the map!
Keep tuned though... My CV's did launch againts Osaka last turn due to bad weather but I have ordered them to fly this forthcoming turn too. Basically Avengers are set on port strike and Helldivers are on naval strike missions! [8D]
Add those B29's into this equation and FDR will not be too pleased either.
The gamble with this strike is that my CV's are low on fuel and I do not have huge numbers of Hellcats available. I have some 800 of them in reserve but that amount can be drained quite fast.
...and IF I can finally make my troop march towards Thailand than he is screwed there too! I can field 2 separate allied armies! One for Thailand invasion and the other for Malaya campaign! [;)]
RE: Allied CV TF destroys several Japanese supply convoys
The Osaka raid was an blunder. I had messed up some of the TF orders and ended up having just 1 CV TF raid home islands. Naturally this was an "disaster" and in the end I lost CV Essex, 1 CVL and 1 CVE! [8|]
This just goes to show that you should not do turns when children are distracting your attention! [:D] Anyway, I can live with these losses so the show continues.

Something like that, yes. (The attack happened last turn. My CV's were still way off Iwo Jima few turns back) Well, it is not that significant though! [:)]
FDR revealed that I did actually sunk 4 CVE's which were escorting the troop transports! [X(] ..That is excellent. Allthough he did state that the troops unloaded succesfully which is bad news.
I do actually have +400 B29's on reserve so these numbers and lossess are not bad. I really need to start putting up pressure on Home Islands itself. This also will force him to have decent number of aircraft protecting his key bases.

I did recieve 3 squadrons of B29's. These planes will come handy soon. Their designated home base is not yet decieded though.
Other good news is that I did receive first set of P51 Mustangs!!! [:D] These are very important fighters since I do lack decent range fighter escorts. (Iwo Jima will soon be toasted)

The operation SeaLion is revealed. There is currently 100 000 Allied men heading to Guam. These troops should hit the beaches next turn. FDR has 7 units garrisoning this important base so I would say that it will take sometime to conquer this enemy stronghold.
