MMCCIII

So where do I find the multiplayer version of MMCCIII, then, as it seems to be a mod? Can't find it at CCO.

For Campaigns can one play solo on the server? or only on home PC?
Favoritism is alive and well here.

For the first time user of MMCCIII it is highly recommended that you read the MMCCIII manual.

To access this use the link in the Command Centre "Manuals" and then select the MMCCIII Manaul.

Or you can access the manual via 'Start, Programs, Close Combat Cross of Iron, Documentation, MMCCII'[/align]

Use ModSwap to install the Multiplayer version. (read manual)

You can play solo on the multiplayer server, that is against the AI... you battles win/lose will register so everyone else can see.

I have read the bloody manual. I see what I assume is the plugin having gone looking for it, but I click on Mod Swap and it does nothing. The Mod Swap manual says there should be a shortcut in the start menu - there isn't. Perhaps unsurprising as I can't find the file in the main directory?!

From the Mod Swap interface, click on File>Install and then the file for MMCCIII MP.

And 3 of us just tested that to see that it installed with ModSwap and it did.

Mine obviously didn't. I'll try re-installing.

EDIT: Ah.. mystery seemingly explained. Sort of. For some reason the Command Centre setup didn't run when I first installed. Wondering if (re)installing the net framework and whatever the other one was messed it up somehow.

File/Install then you may have to navigate to your \program files\close combat\plugins folder

you should only have to do this once, if at all, ModSwap will remember the lacation  after the first time

You will be asked to install Command Centre after you have installed CoI. Make sure you don't miss that one out.

Erm, yeah.. that bit I could figure out. The program not actually having been installed did cause a tiny hiccup in that process, though. [;)] All sorted now.

I wasn't asked (perhaps for the reason I suggested?), and I didn't. Or at least I don't think I was. OK on the re-install, though.

So we have to play "online" to use this feature? Yeah I know here's your sign. lol But, what exactly is the real purpose of this since we can play campaign games offline against the computer as well can't we?
WE/I WANT 1:1 or something even 1:2 death animations in the KOIOS PANZER COMMAND SERIES don't forget Erik! ;) and Floating Paratroopers We grew up with Minor, Marginal and Decisive victories why rock the boat with Marginal, Decisive and Legendary?

Unable to connect to MMCC3.  When I connect to server the response is:  failed to open connection to Server at port: 1028.  Probably server no longer exist....

Not sure if that is me or the MMCC3 Java.net server, please advise.

Server 1028 is the single player version.

Use modswap to install the multiplayer version and then connect online

IP 204.13.13.17 ports 2108, 2109 or 2110..... a choice of 3 online servers.

but

If you want to play the single player version, launch the MMCC3 server first from your \close combat III\server folder

Yes, but you can't play Massive Multiplayer unless you are online [:)]
