Problem with sounds in MCLV

Post by Charlie »

I´m playing MCLV after downloading the new patches ( this MC is superb, no sleeping for two days!!) but think I´m having problems with the new sounds. I installed the MCLV sounds patch in the snd directory but I´m not getting them at the beginning of the scenarios. Any ideas?

Thaks in advance !!

Did you install them in the SPWaW snd directory and not under MC/LV?

I am not a Matirx guru but I have asked similar questions before. They will come back and ask for details on you computer system, sound card, memory, what windows version you are running, back ground programs. So if you could supply that info the matrix guru's should be able to help you.

Yes, I installed them in the SPWaW snd directory and not under MC/LV. I know they are there because I an can play them with winamp. When I started scenario 1 & 2 , in the report window about P. Veber and the decission, I don´t get sounds ( maybe no sounds for these scenarios? ).

My computer is :

PII 350
128 RAM
Sound blaster AWE64
Windows 98 SE
8mb Intel videocard

Thanks !!

I could be wrong, but I believe there are no sound intro's for the megacampaigns? There would be sound files in the actual megacamp folder, and they would correspond with the scenario/node number...

There is sound

I restarted MCLV last night, after installing all of the latest patches and there is sound. On the first senario you go into you get a radio transmition from the artillary battalion or something like that saying that they can support your attack if needed.
One thing that you might want to check is your preferences to the game is set so that all sounds are playing. I know that I shut these off sometimes in very large battles because it makes the game run slow.

I don´t have any sounds in the MC folder, I installed the sounds of the patch in the main SND folder. Do I have to copy the sounds to the MCLV folder?
