Routing Help

Post by D6Veteran »

I can join some games with certain people, and I can host games with certain other people, but largely I cannot join other peoples games. Some people cannot see my ip (cannot ping me).

I was looking at the advanced settings on my router and is there a way I can route to my local LAN ip?

Just trying to find a way to get my ip out there so I can have better success connecting.

Port forwarding is probably going to be under the 'Gaming' tab and is what you need to set to be able to host multiplayer games.

If people can't ping you, you need to turn on ICMP responses which is probably somewhere in the 'Firewall' tab.

you would point directx7,8 to your 192.***.***.*** (where mine says 10.1.1.6)
