Setting the Screen Resolution

Post by tgb »

Is there a way so that the resolution "sticks", and I don't have to reset it every time?

tgb,

Welcome.

Do you have the latest patch ( #2 )? If not, then get it from here:

http://www.matrixgames.com/games/downloads.asp?gid=313

It now has an option to use the current screen resolution and this is now the default option. So all you have to do is hit the OK button. Alternatively, if you would like to define a specific resolution then see the instructions on page 7 of the Reference Manual.

I do, and that's what I do (press ok, I mean). I was wondering if there was a way to avoid doing it every time I launched the game.

tgb,

what you are looking at is on page 7 of the manual.

You have to duplicate the quick start shortcut and add the -resolution option.
Note that patch 2 has supplementary 'default' setting to have the game run at you current screen resolution (useful for the LCD).
This bypass the screen resolution window.

If you'd like to bypass the videos as well and jump straight into the game, you can simply move, remove or rename them. If the game can't find them, it won't play them.

I hope this helps,

JeF.
