Thanks for the piccies ! .. I can only dream about spitfire XIV for now, still got the old Vc version and its starting to look old in late 43.

any chance of a quick grab of Iwo Jima ? I know you like sacrificing american CV's so its a possibility [;)], also have you activated the zamikazis yet ? looks like not so far.

nice going the SE Asia , should be yours soon by the looks of it, i wonder where japan has all its many many combat divs that appear here (see my AAR for a 4400 AP Jap stack, thata impossible to shift). I also assume that having the american tank units helps a lot down there ? 3 tank regiments isnt it ?

anyhoo, even though time is creeping onward your doing well my friend , keep it up.

and as ever good luck (really should change my sig to this[;)])
sorry for the spelling . English is my main language , I just can't type . and i'm too lazy to edit :)

Rob: No chance of quick grapping Iwo Jima, Bonin's nor Saipan. At Iwo and Saipan there is +20 enemy units present. Don't know how much that amounts to but it is propably huge force there. At Bonin's it seems that +100 000 troops is defending the base.

No Kamikazes yet. I guess I'am not close enough to Tokyo. I did propose that FDR would forfeit Iwo Jima to me but that proposal wasn't greeted with welcome! [:D]

Yeah. I noticed Joe had huge AP values at Burma. Actually FDR did have too but the Moulmein invasion paid huge dividens. Massive lossess for both sides. (Look at the previous battles there... I think he lost propably over 150 000 in total at Burma maybe even more...) I will include screenshot from armour at Bangkok when next turn arrives.

Soon I will be able to assault Singapore too! [;)]

Jake Kamikakis [;)]. seems an odd choice as thier load is rubbish isnt' it ?

Grats on bangkok too, are you repairing any facilities you have captured ie the oil and resources
in rangoon ? I tried and it gobbled up supply too much.

and thats one devastating torpedo task force too [:D]

I think FDR just tested whether those Kamikazes do work with those float planes! [8D] ...and yes they did so I actually expect first kamikaze missions to be flown from Malaya Peninsula. That would seem the safest choice for him at the moment.

Yeah. Bangkok is firmly on my hands. I'am not done here just yet [;)] ...He does have significant forces at Saigon and I would bet those troops that retreated are moving towards that city. Anyway, I have splitted my Burma Campaign to Army Group A (HQ at Victoria Point) and Army Group B (HQ at Bangkok). Naturally the main targets are Singapore and Saigon.

Actually the Rangoon oil and resources were in good shape and I haven't bothered repairing them. I can ship enough supply from India.

...and yes. That flying circus TF is packed with torpedoes! [:D] Let's just hope that FDR has brought enough targets for them! [;)]

I will rest next turn. B29's are ordered on ground strike mission here.

The ground combat at Guam will resume next turn too.

We have agreed an houserule for next game and this will be put into action. The maxium amount of CV's in an hex is 8 and only 4 of those ships can be fleet CV's. (We have agreed on several other houserules for next game but more about these when the game begins. We are still few months off)

Here are couple of screenshots of enemy capital ships confirmed sunk. (CV Junyo and CV Shinano should also be badly damaged)

Indeed Joe. Tough time for FDR. You aren't doing too badly againts Rob though!
Yes he is ! [:D][:D][:D]

Actually you aren't Joe (doing badly that is).. keep suprising me from time to time .. even though i'm apparently "transparrent" [;)]

Ahyhoo .. Aztez .. wave bye bye to the IJN ..[8|] Is that the end of
the imperial navy? .. I was a bit suprised he wasnt holed up somewhere safer ( port arthur springs to mind as about the only safe
jap anchorage )[;)]
sorry for the spelling . English is my main language , I just can't type . and i'm too lazy to edit :)

[:D][:D][:D] ...Intresting to see how your PBEM turns out with Joe!

Yeah, I doubt he has a lot left. I think he has 5 fleet CV's, CV Junyo, CV Taiho, CV Zuikaku, CV Shinano, CV Katsuragi... (Don't know whether these CV's are damaged or not...) ...and some BB's left BB Hiei, BB Hyuaga and BB Musashi. (Musashi is not confirmed sunk so that could have been FOW)

Naturally some CA's, CL's and destroyers are still in battle readiness.

As FDR stated operation Sea Hurricane has been approved... Don't have an clue what that means. [8|]

He propably should have moved his fleet into Port Arthur but most of them where at Osake Kobe. FDR did the gamble and lost ... BUT had I stayed near Osaka for one more turn than I think my CV's would have gotten mauled in nightime surface action! So, he paid the price and I got lucky so to speak.

We are continuing this one but have already agreed some houserules for our next PBEM. (Already 4+4 CV rule per hex will be imposed) ...the next game wohn't be a stock game instead it will be a game using FDR's mod with some very intresting changes. (More about this when this one is close to over)

...well there is still a lot left in this one. He is putting up a huge fights already. (Burma, Marshalls and now Marianas) Guam should be secured soon I hope than there are some very intresting targets.

* Saipan (21 enemy units reported)
* Saigon (30 enemy units reported)
* Iwo Jima (+20 enemy units reported)
* Bonins (+100 000 men reported)

...I don't have any intel at the moment about actual strenghts in the above bases. Also following areas/bases are "mystery" to me.

* Manila and Philippines overall
* Okinawa (FDR stated that it is strongly defended)
* Malaya Peninsula (Very little intel about the enemy strenghts)

So he has good chance to stall my offensive. China is currently a total stand still... I think both sides are low on supplies. I will try to unhinge this deadlock though soon.

Another bad raid with 1:1 ratio if downed planes. I will soon move better ranged fighters here in order to deal with this enemy stronghold though. (I have some 150 P40N's soon at Brisbane)

Still no sign of what operation Sea Hurricane is about..... [:-][&:]
