Nope, it isn't dead. It is coming along quite well and should be ready in the very near future.

Take care and good luck

No its not dead. For ease of future expansion and enhancements we had to do some reorganization of things now, and it took a while but there will be more in the product than existed with the originals. I think it will be worth the delay and will pay off even more in the long run. You'll see.

Checking things over now, debugging, tidying things up.

Waiting for this one feels like being a kid on Xmas eve again... I've missed these old games! My comp with WinXP loves to freeze them after 2-3 turns, tried every solution I can find online also :(

I check the forums daily to find any new info. But to be honest I don't reckon that the March deadline 2007 will be the final one. We've heard no news how the project is progressing. Maybe the Matrix Boys are really busy and can't find the time to update us or (and I really hope I'm wrong here) they are to scared to tell us that they are not ready to release the game.
I wish I could really plan on this month as THE month. Maybe. I hope!!

I do hope that this forum gets advanced warning of the release date.  I really don't want to come to the web site and find an annoucment of the game being released on the main page first.  It would be nice if the fans got a heads up.  Just my thoughts.

Thanks,
Duncan

Hey we are having problems with WF and EF running on XP. Work out the Vista Issues later. I want my troops moving into battle. Vista is a problem I can deal with later. I guess most players don't have Vista yet or are'nt planning on getting Vista in the near future. Getting close is not close enough for me. I can't hardly wait, I need to play now!!! Please help me out of my dilemma.

But I still guess you are doing the best you can. And that I still have to show a little more patience.[:@]

I'm doing my best.
Keep up the hard work, men and I reckon we will have a great game waiting for a purchaser.
But please keep us informed. Thanks!

Question:

Is the plan to offer it as three separate games as was originally designed (e.g., three different scenario sets on three different menus with three different sets of rules) - or to combine them into one game (with one scenario set covering all theaters from all three games, and one set of rules).

I would put good money down that you will tell me that this will still be three separate games under one cover.

But, I thought I would ask. I have a preference for the latter.

I asked the same question about the Battleground series, I think they want to keep that to themselves and suprise us.

I think the final Talonsoft pack (World at War?) works fine with XP.  Mine does anyway.  It's just all the earlier versions that have major problems.  Granted I do get looping .wav files sometimes and have to shut down.  I just hope Matrix addresses those incredibly annoying offline corrupt campaign bugs.  Not everyone has the time for multiplayer.

It is interesting to note that I have yet to hear of a true multiplayer game going on in the last few years. As you noted, most people don't have the time to dedicate to a true multiplayer game online. The multiplayer games going on now are PBEM allowing those to play at their leisure.

Take care and good luck

Replay to voncommander.
I find only a problem Talonsoft plaing WF, EF and RS with xp : semetime sound interrupt and it is necessary su stop the game and restart it to obtain sounds again. Sometime it is also necessary to restart system to restore sound.
