Scenario files needed with saved games?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Scenario files needed with saved games?

Post by JR »

I would like to know: Does the program need to read the scenario files when loading a saved game, or is all the information in the save files?

Or in other words: Does both parties in a PBEM game have to have the scenario, or only the one who starts the game?

And if I update a scenario, does this affect old saved games from the same scenario?

Best regards to everyone Image

JR, no, the save file becomes the data file, you can change the name of the save to a scenario file, open it in the editor, and change stuff just like a scenario. So, if you start a scenario, do your turn, end, then save so your buddy can start, all you need to do is send the savxxx.dat, and cmtxxx.dat files, if unsecure, and theres another if secure, but I don't play secure, because of the extremely huge file this generates!! Good luck!
