Results of Artillery and Airstrikes

Battlefront features the power of battalion-level combat in some of this period's most bloody and intense conflicts: Saipan, Market Garden, Novorossisk, and Gazala. Players will have realistic control over their soldiers, with a tactical scale just large enough to make a telling difference in the strategic picture.

Results of Artillery and Airstrikes

Post by bushman777 »

Just started playing Battlefront and I am trying to find out how do you know the results of your artillery and airstrike bombardments, without looking at each individual hex and trying to remember what steps the opposing unit had prior to the bombardments? [&:]

Thanks

Airstrikes & artillery will hit according to the step loss rules:

1. Strongpoints & forts before any units.

2. Only sited units can be hit.

3. Unit with most number of steps will take the hit.

So when you target a hex...

It comes down to the following:

Here's a miss [:@]...

Here's a hit (note it struck to the SouthEast of target hex) [:D]

...and you right click to see the damage (new damage is always a darker red... previous turn damage is orange)

Another excellent reply from JSS. I'd just like to draw attention to the airstrike with the green arrow - as he said it's missed its target and drifted off one hex. Don't forget that it can hit your troops just as easily as the enemy, so you need to keep an eye on those reports.
