Installing DB2000

Post by rgflores »

After I download DD2000, version 6.5.31, I followed carefully what is read in the readme:

"Unzip the seventeen database annex *.dat files to the c:\Harpoon 3 ANW\database\DB2000 directory on your hard drive...Run the Harpoon3 Launcher (c:\Harpoon 3 ANW\H3Launcher.exe). Go to the "Database Manager" tab and select the DB2000 in the list of databases. Press OK. The DB2000 will now be used as the default Harpoon3 database".

Just to let you know that H3ANW is on the following path in my PC:
c:\matrix games\harpoon 3 ANW\ and then I added DB2000 folder, like this:

C:\Matrix Games\Harpoon 3 ANW\Database\DB2000

DB2000 is the folder where I put the database files and the scenarios folder:

C:\Matrix Games\Harpoon 3 ANW\Database\DB2000\Scenarios

Then, I went to database manager and didn´t find the option DB2000 in the database option.

Thanks for your patience...

The other thing you need to do is copy from the H3 ANW database the filed called "database.xml" and put that into your DB2000 directory. From there open it up with notepad and then edit the lines contained with the "<name></name>" and "<description></description>" areas. That will enable the Harpoon 3 launcher to see your database.
Take my word for it. You never want to be involved in an “International Incident”.

You need to put the DB2000 into the C:\Matrix Games\Harpoon 3 ANW\Databases\DB2000 folder. The xml-file shouldn't be necessary.
