Try using DosBox emulator.

I don´t know what your problem is. The text is quite understandable if you studied DOS! [:D]

exactly!

And I was a gamer in the 80s, so I had to learn how to optimize your Config.sys and autoexec.bat. The first real help was a application called memmaker, which was quite good im giving the right amount of memory for your games.Much better was Qemm.
Whoever was able to get more than 620KB was really quite good.

GUIs have made people soft. After some of the beasts I've struggled with, DOS was a walk in the park.

If you have a copy of DOS, or even Windows 95/98, you can download Virtual PC from Microsoft. They give it away now. It creates a separate system on your computer that is a virtual PC within Windows XP (or 2000). I've run a number of old DOS games quite well this way.

You still need to format the virtual drive and install the new operating system, but once setup, it's like you have a separate computer running that OS. I found it much easier to deal with than DosBox.
