A question about ship art Shils

Post by JSBoomer »

I'm hoping you artists out there can help me with this. I wanted to have a G3 Battle Cruiser in the game so I added one. To create the ship art for myself I shamelessly stole (er, I mean modified) the Nelson art from the standardized art set (I hope you don't mind JWE) and did a little cutting and pasting. I'm very happy with the Ship side, however I don't know how to make a proper ship shil. What I have done is copy my ship side, rename it a shil and change the background to pink. It looks like the other shils however during the combat screens the pink is visable and not the ocean back ground. So what am I doing wrong? Help would be appreciated.

You have to use the correct shade of pink. If you use MSPaint then it's the first shade of pink on the bottom row

Thanks for the help Dixie, however that does not seem to solve my problem. THe Shil appears correct. However during game play the pink background appears on screen. I just tried redoing the shil and sill the pink background appears. [:(]

Well I've found out what the problem was.[:D] I was leaving the black border in when I needed to pink it out. Boy do I feel silly now. Thanks for the help Dixie, your comment on the colour helped me figure out what the problem was.
