The Opening GUns

Are there forts in this game? Is their going to be the possibility of a Verdun and Liege? And if so, what advantages do the Central Powers get when invading Belgium?

Yes there are forts - some cities are fortified - Leige and Verdun among them.  They are very resistant to assault, but can be reduced with seige artillery - the Germans start with 1 unit of seige artillery, and hte Austro Hungarians with 1.

Invading belgium allows the CP to bypass the French frontal defences and avoid bloody frontal assaults against the forts there!
