Round1 2vs2 MrQuiet/Avatar47 vs MarshallArt/mikemcmann

Post by MrQuiet »

AARs

In an effort to easily keep track of the progress of each game I am going to create a thread in the AAR section for each game and each player will be required to post in the thread everytime they E-mail a turn.

They will post minimum:
1) the World Power they are playing
2) the game date they just played
3) the player they have sent the E-mail to

This is required and each time a player fails to do so will cost him 1pt off his individual score.

Optional per post:
1) One screenshot
2) A description of the turn

For each post that contains these optional items the player will be awarded 1/4 pt on his individual score. Thats 1 pt for each game year or about 6 pts for a game up to 1946 and even more if the game goes into East vs West.

Let the Death and Destruction Begin

Germany has initiated hostilities against the World.
Sending Summer 39 turn off to Avatar47 to see if the Japs are in a simmilar mood.

First battle went very well for Germany (see SS) most likely giving them overconfidence for the road ahead.
I was dissapointed to only see a flack unit gain exp, but maybe the Frenchys will up my troops exp.

The Japanese welcome the outbreak of war in Europe to consolidate and expand it's colonial empire in China. China, being a weak and divided 'nation', will be easily conquered by the superior Japanese soldier. Foochow province fell to the Japanese, all mil destroyed, and the 1 Inf damaged. Japan suffered 1 Inf unit damaged. On an extremely extremely lucky note and perhaps a foretaste of things to come, 2 CAGs attacked the Chinese rail in Kunming, destroyed it, and BOTH earned their Elitehood there. This good start will ensure that the liberation of Asia is to succeed....

Guys, sorry, no screenie, I only remembered at the last moment :D
<--- The avatar is indeed me, standing in front of the Brandenburg Tor (gate) 3 weeks ago. I'm living in Germany since 3 years now.... I moved because I felt my WaW game would improve..... :D

Too bad Germany didn't 1st get Turkey Axis Leaning.... IMO, getting Turkey 1st turn is a MUST as germany, as it will add its 2 resources to the Victory point total, while as balanced it will not. In any case, this just means more of a challenge, but victory will be all the same....

Russia tried too, but did not succeed either. Pretty much the most spectacular that is to report from Russia this turn is the decent output of technology transfer... China shakes under Japanese Bomb raids.

Summer '39

The allies gird themselves for the long road ahead. The outbreak of hostilities bodes ill for the free people of the world. Only through perserverance, dedication and a committment to the final destruction of the axis powers will the allies be victorious.

A call for troops from around the globe was sent. The French need our aid as well as the Polish. Soon thousands of fighters from all walks of life and nationalities will converge on a small patch of ground called the Alsace-Loraine.....will it be the huns that overcome? I doubt it....we must doubt it for freedom to prevail....

Germans slip into a nice peaceful existance with its current neighbors.
The poor Germans decide to have a nice little flight around Scottland laughing and singing and those dam Scotts decide to open fire on my defenseless Air Crews.

This does not sit well with the German Public, they are crying for blood.

Japs destroy the Chinese fighter for no loss, and hit Sinkiang factory way in the NW. Remaining rails are also being hit. More HBs are in the production line....

Yes France is very heavily defended.
Can Germany hold onto its gains through the winter?

Oh, I think Germany will hold its gains heh. Japan strikes at the Changsha Factory.... but fails to damage it at all. No other news of note to tell, Japan prepares diligently for the war against the colonial powers....

The French high command cotemplates throwing away the lives of French soldiers in a vain attempt at hurting the Huns. However, good sense and ethical considerations give way and instead the BEF is pulled out.

A strategic air strike nets a bomber squadron shot to pieces though, which may aid in the upcoming air war....

Pissed Bomber Pilots get there revenge!

Post by MrQuiet »

Pissed Bomber Pilots get there revenge!

Spring 40
The Britts board there ships and tell the French people "good luck but you are screwed".
Germans knock on the door to Paris and after a bit of a scruffle the keys to Paris are handed over.

German Bomber Pilots sieze an opportunity to give the Britts a black eye to make up for the 'Scotland incident' and the recent winter surprise attack on our airfields. One less light fleet to hunt our 'top secret uboat fleets'

If you have any relatives in Yugo you may want to write them of the impending axis storm to befall them.

Operation Sink that Runway

Post by MrQuiet »

Summer 1940:

Yugo is taken easily with zero losses.
I am again dissapointed at the lack of expierence gains.
All sucsessfull battles to date and hardly a star handed out to the troops [&:]

But the big opperation this quarter was to do my own version of Pearl Harbor. Germany vs England style.
It was a big sacrifice but my end goal of eliminateing a WA Carrier Fleet was obtained [;)]

And thanks for that Mr Q.! Will definitely be helpful.

Japan strikes at the Changsha factory this turn and obliterates it. Indochina is being stockpiled, so far 30 supplies there. It's only Su40, but it's never too early to start stockpiling :D. Turn sent to Marshall Art.

China has only one working factory left - But thanks to the help of both Russia and WA the supply situation has improved. Russian spies again acquired some valuable technology, upgrading the weapons that must defend Russian soil probably sooner than later...

Germany Fall 1940

Italy, Romainia, Hungry, Malta and Greece have decided to join the Axis family of friends[:D]
The Med is heating up for a showdown.

A trade agreement was signed with our nice neighbor Turkey.
They said they would help in anyway they could.

The WA have been working overtime building fighters. Fall1940 and they already have 12 on the map.
I wonder where they are cutting back in order to provide enough pop?

Fall 1940 - Soviet Union is stepping up its defensive preparations. Good research results once more. China waits for what will come next. Both Russian and Chinese hearts go out to the Allies fighting in the Med. theater - can they hold out until the conflict spreads out?
