It works now, but...

Post by rich12545 »

Shaun, I don't know what you changed in 1.51 but the game now seems to work fine. It doesn't just bonk and not start. And it so happens I'm looking to buy a new baseball game. Before buying, I'm going to play the demo for a while to make sure it keeps working.

One thing I noticed is when I start the game in full screen mode (my desktop in 1280x1024) it screws up the icons on my desktop even when I lock them in place.

Another thing I'm wondering is when is 2008 coming out. I'd hate to spend the money on 2007 only to find the next version just a little later.

And is there a list somewhere of all the CE enhancements?

Thanks,
Rich

PS2007 is the last commercial edition of the game I believe.  In a post entitled The future of Puresim started Jan 18 in these forums, sorry I don't know how to post a link to it, computer illiterate, Shaun explains that in order to spend more time with his wife and children he is giving up on the commercial development of the game.  He will continue to work on improving the game by making CE enhancements for those of us who have bought and are planning to buy the 2007 version and he has opened up the code for those of us who want to make add in modules for the game.  Shaun explains it a lot better in his post.

Very interesting.  At least I don't have to worry about double paying. [:D]  And I like the two team association idea.  This is one of the main things I was looking for when I started thinking about a baseball game a couple years ago.

How do I get more info on the CE program?
