. . . a big old KV-1 rolls up to a German recon unit hiding in the woods, and the recon unit stuffs a grenade down the KV's hatch and turns it into a giant paper weight. :D

Your arty actually lands on the enemy instead of on your troops.
You only have 1 mine placed on the whole map and an enemy tank finds it (kaboom).
Your partisan band inflitrates behind the lines and appears right beside the enemy A0 unit. (or those Wurfermen on top of ammo dumps)

... when you fire that heavy cannon into a hex clogged full of tanks, and one round *bounces* and kills two!

(Seen this multiple times. A "bounce" or light <?> hit sound effect, followed by *two* destrction effects. Text sez hits track #1, hits track #2, destroyed #1, destroyed #2. [As best I can remember.] I look at it as overpenetration. <G>)

When in MCLV the Soviets rush all there reserves to counterattack. My MG-34s simply cut them to pieces.

When my Ranger finally infiltrates on Turn 6 to be rewarded with a prime view of the northbound end of a southbound Centurion at 100m. M9 Bazooka - poof - no Centurion.

When you just fired your last main gun round at a tank 6 hexes away and missed, so you fire your MG's at a gaggle of crewmen between you and they all pop smoke and shield you from the enemy tank.

When defending Dubno against the Soviet horde, your FLIVO has out-driven Schumacher down the railway track to capture the "un-recapturable" hex, and then you go on to break the Ivans' morale in seven turns.

Game over. DV.

BTW:This game needs a voise file for E-mail games;I for one would like to hear enemy commanders reactions after succeful ambush. Bet you would learn intresting new phrases in multiple languages. :D

Rangers Rule!

Post by Capt. Pixel »

When your Ranger squad, hunkered down in the trees at the tip of a forest, has a Centurion rumble up to 100m away in the open, stop and dismount a Bazooka team and an Assault squad.

(normally, this would be a bad thing, but ..)

Not being spotted (due to an oppfire range of 0) the Ranger unleashes his fury on the tank, sending the baz and shot-up squad running from the smoking hulk.

That's a 'Threefer', fer sure!! :D :D :D
