Seems like the same problem others have

I seem to be having the same problem described by others- the game starts to load and hangs at the intro screen or once in many tries it starts but does so by going straight to the scenario screen.

My situation may be a little bit different from some of the others - I had a different computer when I bought the game quite a while ago. The game ran perfectly and had no problems, think I even installed the first patch and had it running. Late last year that computer died and I had to replace it with a newer one. I didn't get around to reloading Campaigns on the Danube on to the new computer until just recently.

The installation was straight forward, just loading it into the default directories and then installing the two patches. I haven't been able to get the game to run normally since - even tried uninstalling and redoing it to be sure.

I don't recall having any such problems with the other Matrix Games I have reinstalled - War in the Pacific, War Plan Orange, The Operational Art of War III, Demoes of 1848, For Liberty, and Birth of America.

Has a solution been found for this problem or does anyone have any new suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions for you, other than the (now monotonous) 'are you sure you installed to the default directory'?  Good luck.
