You think military time is a signifcant contribution? I served 12 years in the german army, several years as a Platoon Leader in a light infantry Battaillon. Now i work in a hospital. With more distance to my military service and mutch more life expirience, i can only say there is not really a enemy and not really a victory, look in the War history. Think on the childs and older people in winter 1945 in east Prussia, iraq after desertstorm, Aphganistan.... So tell me not military time is a significant contribution!

Well I guess when tyrants like Hitler, Bin Laden, and terrorists threaten my freedom, I could just lay down and let them do what they want. Or fight for my freedom. Yes serving time in the military is a significant contribution to the well being of any persons country. War stinks! Killing is wrong! No doubt about it, but the alternative is letting it happen to you while you do nothing about it.

What would you do if a group of guys broke into your house and proceeded to rape, pillage, and plunder your loved ones and belongings? Sit there doing nothing and say "killing people is wrong so have at it?! I don't believe in war!" People here in the United States that are against our fighting for freedom are called liberals. [:-] They are also trying to take away our guns through stupid laws.

I am proud of every man and woman that has served in any form of our military here and I owe them my life! [&o][&o] Thank you to whoever you are.

No politics here please. I don't think it's subjective to say that one serves in the military and that it does constitute a sacrifice for one's country. Beyond that, this is not a place to have an extended or detailed discussion of the other factors. Let's leave it at that.

you fight for freedom in Iraq ? i think you fight for oil (Nuklear and chemical weapon said Mr. Bush) you have nothing learnd from Vietnam. War makes War. I would everytime defend the border of my homeland against a attacking agressor. This is human right.
