Last Turn Video

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Last Turn Video

Post by jkjeeper »

How can my email opponent view the final turn replay video? All he sees is the score and the unit placements on the map. Also, is there anyway to control "in game" routing paths.

Thanks

I don't believe there's any way to watch the replay once the game ends.
As for "routing paths", I assume you are referring to the way a unit retreats from combat. There is no way to "direct" this retreat; units pick the easiest route that moves them towards their side's Retreat flag. In the case of badly built PBEM games where the Retreat flags are reversed, making the units retreat towards their enemy instead of away from them, there is no remedy for this other than to rebuild the battle and use a different map. This usually happens when using Custom maps, which have the sides reversed from what the Battle Generator uses.

Flash,

After reading your response re the "final turn replay video", I decided to experiment and found a way to watch the action.

If anyone is interested, here is an example (using email save slot 6) of how it works.

Go to the Email Save Directory and replace the "email6.dat" file with the previous turns "email6.dat" file. Start SP and select play email game, select load save in slot 6. Press start and then press the video replay button. You'll see the whole final half turn action. The only exception is that when the video replay finishes, the map displays the previous turn's positions.
