Don't use Vista and stay with v1.51 I believe

Personally, I don't miss it a bit. But one funny thing is, when the first game of the World Series begins, you get the rocket launch sound effect, but they must have all been duds...no earth shattering kaboom!!!

What would REALLY be cool would be to hear the sound of breaking glass when a homer flies out of the park. "That one went through Aunt Bessie's window! I hope she ducked in time." [:D]
