How do you change the orders of groups in a scenario?

Post by Tanaka »

For instance:

As a default the AI starts its fighters on Escort 60%.

Well I find that Escort 90% is much stronger and I want my AI opponent to do the same. How do I adjust the scenario so that all AI airgroups do this? Thanks!

About the only way I know is to set the game to Head to Head, then when you get control of the enemy, go in and modify the stats for aircraft on each base.  Aetting the enemy to Escort with 90% CAP will probably screw up offensive missions.  Bombers often won't fly without fighter cover.  If the fighters are all set to 90% CAP, then in many cases there won't be enough fighters available to fly bombing missions and they will be scrubbed.

You should be able to set it in the DB editor, in the "percentage" field for each air group.

Terminus is technically correct. It depends on your intent wether this will do what you intend? IF either side is played by AI - the AI will default back to its standards upon the slightest excuse. Only if for some reason it does not "look at" that unit might it remain as set. I like to set certain units to ASW patrol. If seaplanes, AI "respects" that - but if not - it changes it - 100% of the time. You should find a similar effect here. You can make a human player start with this as a default - but AI will either never use the value - or use it for only one day - depending on the unit.
