And here's the map.
It was certainly an exciting turn, even if it didn't all go as planned. I was hoping to rough up the enemy battle line some with my CV force and finish them off with my BBs today. Planes from Malta flew against the enemy, but my Swordfish didn't launch despite 20% naval search). And of course my nerfed Albacores weren't in range.
Decisions to make today. My CVs have fought off at least 6 waves of enemy bombers without a single dent, but I've lost 19 FAA fighters. The Barney boys are hiding in Tripoli harbor so any strike would face a lot of AA against an alerted enemy.
BTW, Nik - you boned me again! [:'(] I'm flying two Martlett II squadrons & I've lost 11 of them. The FAA units are all "British" nationality still so can't upgrade 'til May. I don't know if it's intentional but I like the idea of separate pilot pools for the RAF & the FAA. The problem is that Martlett II production doesn't start until Dec. 42. [:D]
I also have my battle line within a day's steaming of Tripoli. I could try to imitate Mers el-Kebir & bombard the enemy in port. Hmmm...
