Jumping Aboard

Post by Arctic Blast »

Hey, guys, just wanted to say Hi to everybody. I just finished downloading SPWAW, and I've been reading some of the stuff in here while it was d/l'ing, which has only served to make me more excited to play it. That's unfortunate, because it's after midnight as it is...hmmm...I sense an 'illness' beginning to strike...(cough) no work for me today. [;)]

Arctic Blast,

Welcome.  You will find that the people here are happy to answer most any SPWAW questions you come up with.

I recommend spending some time reading in the SPWAW Training Center sub-forum, and also in the SPWAW AAR/DAR sub-forum.  Most of your SPWAW rules and tactics questions are best to post in the Training Center sub-forum.

Happy Gaming.

Welcome to THE game.
Read the manual.pdf and start with the in-game tutorial scenarios.  That's my advice [;)]

thanks, guys. It all sounds good. Seeing as it's a long weekend, I think I'll spend most of it parked in front of a monitor, learning the ins and outs of the game.

Arctic Blast,

Remember that you'll get the best responses by posting your rules and tactics questions in the SPWAW Training Center sub-forum.

Have fun.

Well, so far, so good. Spent the better part of this long weekend (I got the four days...gotta love that!) messing around with the game. First off, I really liked the various tutorials...they introduce the concepts gradually, which I wish more games would do. So, I think I grasp the basic concepts, and I've done okay in the couple of scenarios I've tried so far. I am DEFINITELY enjoying the game, though.

Actually, I already have, and have installed it (may I just say...thank you for modswapper? After enduring all the crap for new campaigns and equipment files, etc., for the Panzer General games, THAT thing is a beauty!). I can tell there are some upgraded graphics and sounds...what else was part of it that I may not have noticed, yet?
