Dude! I've never seen that B4. I've seen two bases hooking up but never 4 - too cool!

Hi Mike! [:)]

Too cool? Not at all - it happened against me! [:@] The game surely must be broken. Either that or it's Nik's fault. It would only be cool if it were my forces launching that strike! [;)]

In truth I thought it was interesting also. I've noticed two bases hooking up many times and even three on a small handful of occassions (half a dozen maybe). Never four, and rarely/never at different distances.

Our convoy reached safety with no losses (though a little bit of grumbling as the battleship escort force retired back to Taranto @ full speed while the convoy was still a hundred miles from port....Supermarina was worried about a possible carrier strike on their precious battleships.

Bugger, I missed that withdrawal - I might have played the turn differently otherwise. Was that the TF that was 3 or 4 hexes from Taranto last turn?

As Nik said, it was a relatively quiet turn. Malta airfield is back down to 0/0 damage (after 0/11 yesterday) and the supply situation is still good. The final orders for Operation Neener Neener have been issued. More plans are in the works.

Aircraft losses were 6 to 11 in the allied favor today.

Here's one thing I haven't often seen. The Axis managed a coordinated attack from 4 different bases (at different distances) from Malta:

Supermarina "justified" the early withdrawl on the basis that the convoy would be well within friendly air cover by the time any enemy forces could race in......the Regina Aeronautica was poised to deliver a crushing blow to the Allied boogerheads!

One of Benito's convoy ships, captained by a purple partner has been recently spotted... note the alert bearing to try to detect incoming Allied aircraft and subs...

That's Dino Vino Bella.......captain in charge of my supply convoy, seen shortly after arrival kicking back and listening to the latest news stories documenting the steady defeat of our enemies. The cowardly British were no match for our glorious forces. We laugh at their pitiful Stringbags and Mutt American fighter planes......

Hi Chuck,

Just curious - are most of the commanding officers in your air units running high skill, moral, and air stats? It looks like you are fielding most of the planes in your air units. I know you said your supplies are good and your engineers seem to be doing a bang-up job of filling the runway holes. What do you have for Air HQs?

It's cools to watch the changes going on with this mod. Anyway - I'll be checking up on this AAR to see how ya'll are doing.

TTFN,

Mike

Today we had our best day against pesky ol' Malta...destroying several dozen planes (air/ground combined). I LUV our airforces! Sadly, a Hurricane managed to down and kill an Experten today....his Bf-109 going down in a sea of flames. His naturally perterbed friends retaliated by shooting down 5 Hurricanes in revenge.

In other news the cowardly 9th Brigade retreated before our glorious Panzers could come and share cookies and tea with them.....how RUDE!

Aw, shucks. We're just preparing the party elsewhere.

It's not a big surprise, but it's been confirmed that the forces of purple are not only advancing around the coast of Cyrenaica but also across the desert.

I haven't closely looked at the Axis side of this mod yet, so I'm trying to estimate the enemy strength using recon & sigint. 3 armored divisions are proceeding up the coast (2 German, 1 Italian.) The one unit entering the desert appears to be about brigade strength. Of 4 follow-on units I've only identified one - the 16th Italian Field Artillery Regt.
