Can't download beta patch

I followed the directions, and I get to the private download screen. Yet when I click on Forge of Freedom Update V 194Beta.zip link I keep getting the screen "The page cannot be displayed." Is the beta patch still available?

I still can't download the patch. Has it been taken down to be updated or am I just doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

After trying a whole bunch of things, I'm convinced that the problem must be with my security settings, but I don't know how to fix it. I have windows xp, internet explorer, and McAfee Security Center. I already tried turning off the fire wall, and I have messed with other settings, but it hasn't worked, and I really have no idea of what I'm doing.

Any suggestions? (I'm dying to play. I'm a junior high history teacher, and I have been looking foward for months to having some time to really play this game during Easter Break. I can't wait to try that Southern Steel scenario!) Please help a die hard civil war history buff!

Yeah, it's working fine for me in my testing, so it must be something on your side that's preventing it. It's a standard download so that would have to be a pretty strict setting to prevent it. Can you just shut down McAfee entirely to see if that works? Can you try a different browser? Have you tried doing the right click Save Target As on the download link?

When I tried the "save target as" I got the following error message (after I had shut down all the components of McAfee Anti Virus): Internet Explorer Cannot download Freedom Update .... The FTP session was terminated.

Last thing to try is installing a different browser.

Using netscape worked! I'm sorry I bugged you guys with this problem, but everytime I've had a problem at Matrix games you guys have come through. I would give you a rebel yell if I wasn't a damn Yankee.
