Problems with mines

Post by Yakface »

I'm having problems getting my mine layers to lay mines in their home port. They just sit there loaded up. Is there something special I have to do?

You didn´t forget to set them on "lay mines"? After they replenish from port it´s automatically set to "do not lay mines".

I've mined mine layers home ports by following.

Set on "lay mines". Set "retirement allowed". undock TF. And the mines are layed during naval movement.

I did it by giving them a different port as home port and their original homeport as target.

Frank, you don't have to do that anymore (v 1.8something), so if he's still having troubles laying mines in his home port it's because he forgot to flip the switch from "Do not lay mines" to "Lay mines" - as long as he is playing the latest version of the game. Sometimes these questions should have the information on the version and mod being played listed to help us better answer them.
