I will beat him on the field of battle.   Just going to need some time to do it.  Come mid '43 he is going to find a far different opponent than the one he now faces.

Oh that is soooooo true. My plans are in place, but I just have to wait for the ship yards to catch up with what I have in mind. The Central pacific is going to be a blood bath for Hero Honda. [:D] PH looks like a cut from the Lord of the rings movie with all the orcs massing. [:D] All I need is ships ships and more ships !

As for your orcs, bring 'em on[8D]
I agree CenPac will be very intersting. I does offer the best aproach for Raver seeing every alternative would mean a tedious prolonged campaign lasting years. But it's not up to me to decide where Ravers is going. He says CenPac, I say ok.

Yeah CENPAC is where I am going....no need to make a secreat of it as any fool can see that is the only way to go considering the time frame constraints that I have and the amount of terrory that I have to retake.  If fact I have already started the first phase of the campaign but Honda  has been slow to see it and even slower on the uptake.[8|]

Brace yourselves for a triple update[:)]

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 09/29/42

AUSTRALIJA:
Rochampton closed due to bad weather. On a lighter note, 8 BBs leave Rockhampton on a naval bombardment mission on Brisbane. So far the results have been discouraging but after a long offensive minesweeping effort in Brisbane waters I'm hopin for a better result.

Troops disembark in Akyab. The place has been cut off for 6 months now and strong resistance isn't expected.

General Honda's report on the meeting of the Privy Council on 19th September 1942:
"Guided by the spirit of Yamato, Japan's superior soldiers will begin a long-term siege of Brisbane and a battle will ensue which, if concluded favourably, will be our last great offensive victory of the war. Dark threatening clouds are on the horizon and looming over Pacific and India and for that reason we must prepare ourselves logisticaly and even more importantly - psychologiclay. The nation must endure this, the greatest of perils, for we can only promise hardship and expect selfsacrifice. For years our people have suffered the consequences of this imposed war but we just cannot and must not waver when faced even with impossible odds. Against all the steel of the world, the Japanese spirit and faith in our Emporer will prevail over decadent western democracies!"

As for other fronts, there is not much to report. PM is being bombed daily. Also chinese troops on the road to Chungking are getting the same treatment. India is static for now with an odd air raid by RAF on Delhi. Burma has a pocket of british and indian troops and they have been cut off for half a year now. In the PI american and Phillipine forces are dug in at Naga, and there are still many small islands not occupied by Japan yet. Central Pacific is waiting for some promised action and north is a bit smelly too. Blockade of Brisbane is complete and for a long period of time there has been no attempt to find a hole in it. Raver has surely given up on Brisbane hoping it could hold on for many months until he can start thinking about extraction or resupply run. Japanese forces are about to commit to a siege of Brisbane and from the first few assults I will be able to talk about a more precise timetable of the closing of operations in Brisbane. After that, a solid force will become available to fill the cracks in my defence which will undoubtedly form as Raver gets more toys to play with.

After Raver took off for his New Zealand expedition, I had used the time for some constructive rest from WitP. Now, I just have to remeber which side I'm playing and what my strategy is...[:D] But there's some loose ends to tie up first and that's 3 days od game time played 5 days ago which I didn't report. Till now...

I'm back....the 4 day work trip turned into a 6 day trip with little chance to look around Auckland [:(], but what I did see makes me want to go back for a holiday soon.  I have no idea were I am at in the game due to the  6 day break from WiTP I have lost the rythym.

I'm glad to see that I was able to hit the subs, but it is extremly worring that there is so much jap sub activity in and around the Aleutians.  I have to ask the question......is Hero Honda planning a raid here?  I am going to have to pay a LOT more attention to this part of the map, and at this point in the game I would rather not be diverting units to the North, but I know Honda's play.....he ALWAYS scouts with subs before launching an attack, so I cannot turn a blind eye on the Aleutians.

Raver, Raver...only one sub out there was armed. It was escorting (for a good reason a we can see) a team of marine biologists on a whale tracking expediton. This is not the first time your foces have shot at and killed civilians. I mean, the sub even had her forward torped tubes removed to hose extra equipment! I'll be happy to let you know that the production of whole batch of subs slated for marine biology expeditions (RO subs :))has been halted so Japanese shipyards can concenrate on fighting ships. Time for science is over!

The fact that Hero Honda is trying to dimiss the subs in the Aleutians as a joke simply confirms in my mind that he is upto sumfink in that area.  I am now setting in train a plan to reinforce the area.  I will not sit back and allow the japs to move forward into US territory.
