Josan and I had had a break but we should both be back into it now.

The front has been fairly static with Soviets advancing to the main German defence lines.

This week lots of attacks have been launched all along the front with all attacks repulsed except 1. Stalin will send reinforcements to the commander who preforms the best!!

We are now on 9/6/1943. Italy surrendered to the allies! [:@] With the italian defection Germany must send reinforcements to the Sud Front.

But with the ABWEHR secret documents got it for our agents Hitler knew that and he saves some divisions as reserve... Italy is occuped by germans troops. Skorzeny just saves Il Duce of his prisoners and he will rules a new Italy!

With the Allies attacking in the South , AGN and AGC are in defensive positions. Only the troops under command of Manstein , in AGS, can operate for offensive purposes, by a Hitler directive in this way...

Five Pz korps are in Ukraine, from Kiev to the sea, trying to delay the soviet advance in a mobile warfare... We evacuated Kharkov and Stalino for the massive of soviet troops placed nearby. Strong heavy german attack, supported for SS panzer units failed in the attempt to surrender one soviet army in the Stalino sector[:(]

A brillant attack in the south has forced the Soviets to retreat to Stalino. Even though Germany failed to encircle my troops, the damage to my troops in this sector is very high.

Attacks have been launched in the north and to my surprise, 2 German korps have retreated. 1 attack was across a river and was a diversion attack.

The battle of Luki is still raging and will so for some time to come

We are now on 10/11/1943. Its raining.

The pressure the soviets are doing is more hard every week go.
Germany have sent reinforcements to the North because seems the South front strategy have worked (mobile defence) and we are not obligated to cover all the front.
Losses are not that we hoped at the begining but at least I have a lot of ground to give just for the moment the things can go bad... and I preparing for mobile warfare in ALL Eastern front just in case...
Really Kingtiger is a tough player!

Stalin has ordered a winter offensive along in the northern and central fronts while troops in the south are making there way to engage the enemy. A large amount of armored divisions on both sides are itching for a fight in the centre. Alot of attacks but no retreats.

The first rains have arrived to the Soviet Union. The Spring is here! its 3/28/44

Its time to rest. The summer will be very hard to play for the germans. British and Americans are preparing their assault to the Fortress Europe. France and Italy will see the power of western allies.[:(]

The front line in the East Front runs, more or less, from Leningrad (soviet hands) - Novgorod, Velikiye Luki, Smolensk (germans) - Bryansk, Kharkov,Poltava (soviet) - Dnepropetrovsk (german) - Zaporozhe (soviet).

My only hope is that I have a lot of ground to give to the soviets, a slow retreat to prepared entrenched positions, looking for local counterattacks , in order to get the requirements I will need for Westerns Fronts...

We are now on 4/11/44.Mud.

With a great surprise for me the West Front shattered a week ago, 4/4/44. Allied forces are in the beaches of Normandy[:(] And of course all the forces in this front have been seriously damaged. I made a great mistake here. I still thought that events only can go in good weather (clear). Surely to play many games from wir 3.1, 3.2 and many mods too... so for people interested bad weather is only snow and blizzard, no events. In mud the westerns front can shatter so be aware of that. Its very important for the strategy you can do.

Anyway, despite of this bad surprise, we still have many men on the front. The german soldier will fight to the end, waiting for the soviet summer offensive [X(] and we will defeat the soviet hordes[;)] or maybe I dont see the reality in my bunker in Berlin[:)]

The Fuhrer had not a great birthday last April 30th...Allied forces in France breached our defences and now we are defending the West Wall. A lot of reinforcements were send there to stop them so we hope we can stabilize the line.
In Italy the Allies still have not conquered Rome [:'(] SS Das Reich and Hermann Goering divisions mainly are doing a great job in this front despite the partisans attacks to our supply lines [:-]

Still raining in the Eastern front, 5/2/1944. Informations from some communist deserters confirm us that the Red Army is ready for a great offensive. They are waiting for clear weather. Bagration is near...[:(]

Only a miracle can stop the slavic hordes... but this miracle have a name, Adolf Hitler [:@]

The time of truth has arrived.

The swamp hex north of Velikiye Luki has been cleared.
A recon in strength was launched in the swamp hex North East of Vitebsk.

Lack of readiness is the Soviets problem atm.

Velikiye Luki has been encircled and its retreat rout blocked. A failed blitz attack north of the city have left a tank armies flanks exposed. The weather has turned to mud so I expect this tank armie to be destroyed.

Veliliye Lucki garrison was assulted and a attempt to relieve the encircled tank army north of the city failed. Clear weather next turn has sealed the tank armies fate. Lots of recon attacks all along the front looking for a new area to launch a attack

May 30th 1944. Clear.

A great concentration of soviet armored forces has been spotted around Velikiye Luki. 5 Tank Armies in this sector... The OKH thought, of course, that the main attack should be in the center even more looking that North and South fronts are staticts right now. So we sent a couple of powerful Pz Korps, raised from all the places from western and eastern fronts. One was placed in the north of the city and the other in the south, near Vitebsk.

The north attacks managed to destroy one Tank Army and retreated another one. From the south the attack recovered the supply line with the garrison of Velikiye even in a weak position but the soviet spearheads are also in danger... Many of this success were possible with the help of the Luftwaffe that come back to the fight, after some time training, with more of 2000 planes in this sector, supporting the attacks and airlifting the surrounded city. No say great losses for both sides...

Clear

Very large air battles this week causing great losses. Both sides are in need of major rest and reinforcements. The Soviet armored spear head launched another attack east of Velikiye Luci encircling the city again, retreating a ss pz korps and destroying a pz korps. A failed attack on Velikiye Luci has placed the Soviet armord thrust in great risk of being encircled and destroyed. Velikiye Luci has been a mojor thorn in my side holding up a great number of forces.

6/6/1944. Clear.

The Russian Bear is here. A very good planned soviet attack destroyed last week 3 Pz Korps (one SS ) on Velikiye Luki sector, losing the city and around 1000 german tanks [:(] Smolensk has fallen too...

Against the overwhelming odds the soviets have , the OKH have ordered a general withdrawal to AGN and AGC to our 2nd line of defence.
Army Group South still defending on the Dnieper river expecting the news...

Airfield attacks has been launched against VVS Red Air Force...Around 500 soviet planes destroyed on the ground... Codename of Operation: Revenge [:@]

Clear

Stalin has releaced the reserve, 100 full strength Guard division have been committed to battle. This also includes a number of tank armies.

Advanced to the german lines in the centre and south but strong German forces have stopped us in our tracks. I expect limited counter attack.


German defences behind the Dnieper are being assulted, very heavy soviet losses here.
