ONWARD TO VICTORY!

Yeah right...

I'll still have to deal with an uprising of slaves in the south. That'll disturb my supply lines big time..

31 Aug 1915 T57

The Japanese units which were so succesful in the operation against San Francisco have been moving north.
Near Portland-Oregon they made contact with the ANZACs moving south from Seattle.

A second Japanese formation landed near Aberdeen in order to reinforce the Canadians, ANZACS and Russians which came under considerable pressure defending Seattle.

So, what does your strategic plan look like right now, Silvain?

Turn 53 to 56.
Notice the Entente gains made into Kansas and from Canada into New Hampshire and Vermont.

So, what does your strategic plan look like right now, Silvain?

Quite ambitious and all dependant on reinforcements from Europe...

1 Push south and swing to my right in order to isolate the US troops active in Canada

2 I see a possibility to move around the US' right flank in Virginia... I am tempted to push north and cut the TOO in two.

3 Is aimed at isolating and eliminating the US troops in the west.

All long term and as I already mentioned it'll depend on the timing and amount of reinforcements I'll receive.

Action in Texas and Arizona is ongoing and confused. No chance of an outcome there.

Winnipeg remains besieged but I can hold out there.

The Mormons have begun a raiding spree assisted by small CS forces. They're located below the the bottom left arrow. They can be of help in and around Phoenix where the US is pushing my CS-Mexican units extremely hard.

They run in US units from time to time but the low recon values make me stay on my toes for a major confrontation somewhere.
Meanwhile there is also the fact that I'll have to deal with an uprising of Afro-Americans in the CS itself.

I've seen some weaknesses in the US PO which will be altered for the release version, but all in all I'm quite satisfied so far. The main things to keep in mind are the slow pace and low recon. You need to plan ahead and build up ... meanwhile hoping that the PO doesn't catch you somewhere else before you can launch a decent offensive in the sector of your choice.

19 October 1915

The British forces in New Hampshire and Vermont are making the turn Westwards.
They're all in the red, but the US units are not better off themselves.

After a long march the Mormon army arrived in New Mexico.
When they are rested they'll participate in the "decisive" action to eliminate the US presence in the Southwest.

The uprising started on turn 65 (this event has an 8 turn range). I received some state militia units to tackle it but will have to recall other security units deployed along the border.

16 November 1915 T68

The uprising causes problems. In the confusion the US managed to break through and capture Lynchburg. They're cut off but I had to deviate units which are badly needed on the main front.

And this is where I'm gonna stop the AAR. I'm gonna rush it to the conclusion to check what happens further in the scenario and make the necessary changes for the US PO.

It may become available in a week or two.

A maximum of 150 turns of mayhem, controlling a vast but desintegrating army besieged on several fronts... the perfect anti-stress course [;)]

Funny, I've taken to get back to Turtledove's works on this scenario.... reading for stress relief. (college has been a bit of a pain of late....technical reading is dry as the Sahara)

Different paths, but the same destination.... ;)

I have to deal with stress quite often... funny really that my preferred antidote is going after battlefield stress  [:D]
