Marky, just one person's view, but I believe you owe Divebomber an apogolgy.

This is most cruel as I was enjoying "watching" this game unfold.  I was curious where your Fabian strategy would take the game.  I certainly did not anticipate this end.

Also, as an aside, the invasion of India and N. Australia were certainly seriously considered by the Japanese.  They chose a different approach, but especially the invasion of India was a distinct strategic possibility as expressed well in the book....Empires in the Balance: Japanese Strategic Options in WW2 (the title is probably slightly off, and I forget the authors name (circa 1978).  The author argues that probably the very best strategic chance Japan had was to turn west, subjugate China and then invade India.

That would first require comprehension of the gravity of his error... Which is not likely...

And it's not "just one person's view", by the way...

Divebomber, I really enjoyed your AAR and looked forward to reading about the interesting game you and Marky had embarked on.  Thank you for the time and effort you put into the write-ups.  It really helped this relatively new player appreciate the game all the more.  Thanks again.

Terminus, I have opined enough about Marky's behavior. I think I shall simply leave it at that.

However, should Marky read this, I enjoyed watching your defense unfold. As I previously commented, I thought your strategy a bit extreme. But, it fun to watch it unfold.

"I have a cunning plan milord"

Dive,
A lot of folks were following your AAR judging my the number of hits. I imagine a lot of it was because of your writing style as well as Marky's curious "defense". Our game is at a similar date, so why don't you start an AAR based on ours, and I will start one from my pov, trying to mimic the style.

The strategic situation is very different in China, but not so much in Burma. Also, I have massive reinforcements heading for Alaska and Canada now [;)].

It is just a thought, let me know what you think. And I promise not to post too often in your AAR. [8D]

Marky -

You realize, of course, that by entering my AAR, which was clearly marked right in the title "Marky Keep Out" you have ended the game, since I can no longer trust you.

I am very disappointed that you did this because I was enjoying the game.

To everyone who was following this AAR - thank you very much for your interest and your comments.

The first line pretty much sums this up on why this needs to be stopped.

Good luck into your next PBEM.

Thanks for your comments and support. Since AuTiger has asked me to write an AAR to match his I will. It ought to be quite a bit different because 'Tiger has stood up to me and caused me all kinds of headaches. [X(]

Okay, I'll start tomorrow after I've had a chance to play your next reply.

Thanks -

No doubt you have seen the number of posting on my AAR, I have just walked about the map with screenshots and a brief explanation for each theater.

I will knock out my turn now.

That's great! I'll leave it to you to do the screen shots - it won't be long before you won't have to do too many... [;)] [:D]
