It's not something we are going to do code-wise any time soon. The thing is that in order for it to work you'd need to make the DB have a value for each unit to contain the ID of the emblem, then you'd need to add the code to display the emblem. That side is easy. Getting the code to display the emblem (if there is one) is easy.

Changing the database records to know about the emblem is a huge task, and without that in place it's not going to work. We've still got a huge todo list to complete before we can release this sucker.

I know what you're saying

Basically, those emblems are directly tied to the nationality of the unit. There are only a finite set, so you change it and it affects all units of that ilk.

When you guys buy a hundred-million copies of the game we might be able to petition TPtB for some funding to paint up the 2000 odd emblems, insignias and crests for every unit represented, then I'd happily do the code and DB structure to use it. That would be super cool.
