replenishment TF

I play the great campaign as Japan, with the 1804 version.

I cannot create replenishment TF with TK. What is the problem [&:] ? At the beginning of the game the replenishment TF for the pearl Harbor attack only consists of DD and TK, so I don't understand.

Stupid question [8|] ? what exactly is the difference between tanker sand Oilers in the game ?

TK cannot go into replenishment TF - only AO
EXCEPT that the Japanese have TF2 at beginning of the campaign - this is the only TF like this to support the KB raid on PH. DO NOT disband it as you will loose it forever (you can add or remove ships from it)

Basic difference is that AO is Fleet Oiler with devices to conduct refuelling at sea. TK is just Tanker transporting oil/fuel from one place to another, As said, TK in IJN TF is one-time exception.

Even so, the only way I have been able to create new Repl TF has been with auto-select ships selected. It then shows only the escorts (variable), but when 'done' is clicked, it is formed with an AO [if present at the base].

Thus it means that the manual is worng in the section 6.1.4.1 ( Mission Types and Ships Allowed ), because the TK is listed in the avalable ships for replenishment TF.

The manual is known to be incorrect in some areas. I note that AE type ships are not in the list but they should be.
Be wary when reading the manual - it has never been updated with all the changes that the variuos patches have introduced.
