Agreed. I will start fresh with defensive plays and as soon as I have a fair sample...I'll upload on FBMAX or provide them to you and you can test them first and place them with your Oplays.

It's funny how that works. People are either offense or defense; however, I find if you know defense you certainly know offense and vice versa. But most people have a definant preferance for sure. My brother is an offense guy...he hates defense. I'm a defensive guy, I've coached defense and always start my playbooks with defense. I design plays to beat my defenses...figure they should fair well versus any defense then[;)]. I played defense my very short career from junior high through adult flag football leagues, so I know it and am very comfortable with it.

Offense is all glamour and glitz. Who doesn't love offense[:D]?

My main issue with defense is I havent really tried it. I did adjust one of the default defenses to handle a run play I made. Thats why im looking forward to seeing some of yours, see how you set them up. Once I get the hang of it, I will definatly want to try my own.

I didnt see any particular restrictions on offense in the above rules. So I think I should be ok with my plays. I usually have lots of motion, that way I can run most everything out of the same base formation. But, with our 1 man in motion rule, im going to have to adjust that a bit. Should be fun though, I look forward to it.

Hi Gary,

I like using the same formations as well...harder to key what I'm doing on offense as I don't tip my hand with certain tendencies.

I look forward to seeing what you've made as well.

We're having our floors tiled, so my house is crammed into a couple rooms. I havent had much chance to get a lot done, however, they should be done by Monday. So I can get back in a regular groove.

I have made a few run plays, but want to go back and tweak them a bit.

Well, ive probably made about 11 or so offensive plays. Fair balance of run and pass.

I have definately changed my goal for this. I will probably end up with about 20 to 30 offensive plays total. I have all the run plays I want, just need a few more pass plays. As far as a coaching profile, the computer mainly needs some guidance on 3rd down. Too many runs on 3rd and long.

All the pass plays I made have the QB move around a lot, which has seriously cut down on sacks.

Im curious to try my offense aginst SmilinJacks defense, since my plays were designed to defeat the default defense.

I will post my playbook on FBMAX when im done. I should finish it this weekend.

Hey Smilinjack, ask and ye shall receive

"For the quick sim feature, some timing values were also pulled out and placed in the simdat.dat file. This will allow you to adjust the min/max seconds taken for each style of play (regular, kick off, punt, etc...). There was a request to be able to adjust these times so now you can do that."
