MMCC3.. SP, MP, when, how?

Post by Banquet »

Hi all,

I've honestly read through the PDF's.. searched the forums and now come to the conclusion that I'm just thick because I still don't really understand the single/multi play aspects to MMCC3.

When I load the MMCC3 Single Player Server I get the map and all but no buttons to attack/defend any of the maps. If I then load the 'MMCC3 client' I get another map and that does seem to work (although not by itself - on it's own it won't connect)this also says 'single player' but I see it says there is 1 allies.. is that me, or someone else playing? There is a 'battle waiting' so does this mean someone else is waiting for a battle, or is this simulating the AI attacking?

I read somewhere that to enable Multiplayer I had to download a separate mod.. I may do this later but would like to familiarise myself with CC3 and MMCC3 (which seems like a great program!) before playing MP.. I'd just like to clarify if what I am currently messing around with is single of multi player.. because the PDF instructions I have with my version clearly mentions H2H battles which seems odd as the window says single player.

Please put me out of my misery of confusion [&o]

MMCC3 was designed for H2H battles but has been made available as a single player version too.

To play singlePlayer

First run the server... you may then minimise it.

Then run the Single player MMCC3 client. (the server must still be running)

Number of allies includes yourself...useful in multiplayer, just reassuring in single player.... "I am an ally so i must exist"

The AI will attack in the single player version.

to play multiplayer.

Use ModSwap to install the multiplayer client

run MMCC3 client and connect to the given IP and port

(204.13.13.17   port 2108 or 2109 or 2110)

You may play vs the AI or pick up a H2H game
