Wrong CD key,

Hello, I am in need of some help with the CD key. I ordered the game back over the holiday, my x-mas present to myself. I got the CD in January. I installed then tried to get online to regrister it and Operational Art of War 3. I was able to register the AOW 3 but Starshatter, I couldn't. It kept on giving me a wrong cd key. I installed the game alright with the key on the cd case but no joy with going online to regrister[&:]. Well then a new patch came out. Tried to install that, no joy. Wrong cd key it told me. That was end of January, beginning of Feb. I contacted the online store help. They sent me another key and I tried that. Still didn't work. They then told me to contact Matrix store about this. I have written the company twice in the last month and have not heard a thing. I am playing the game but afraid to get farther as I don't want future patches to make me start all over so I am wanting to get this fixed. I need some help in this. I know there is a problem with copying and all that crap but I have paid for everything . What can I do??

Are you sure this is a Starshatter: The Gathering Storm key and not an older Starshatter key? If you can e-mail me at erikr@matrixgames.com with your order number and your key, I'll check it out.

umm... Wondering as I have not heard anything from anyone.. How do I fix this?? I have contacted a bunch of people but nothing and another weekend gone so play games. Starting to think about sending it back as it has been since Jan since I got this. Someone please help me..

I sent this to our online store support three times. I'm chasing it down again now to find out what's going on. I really apologize for the delay. We're investigating this internally now too, I don't expect it will take more than a day or two to sort out what happened on the initial order and CS side and understand what the problem is.

To confirm, which game were you trying to register in the Members' Club and which patch file were you trying to run on your installation? Confirming the precise name will help us, as there are two versions of Starshatter (an older and a newer one).

Ok, we hunted down your order and the keys you sent me. You ordered the original StarShatter and the keys you were sent are valid and working for that version. My guess is that you then tried to register it as StarShatter: The Gathering Storm and apply the Gathering Storm update. That wouldn't work as it's a different release than the original StarShatter, it's a new game. It looks like you purchased the original StarShatter right before it was discontinued in favor of The Gathering Storm.

If you intended to purchase The Gathering Storm, I'll see what I can do about getting that switched over.
