Can you place mines?

Post by Axis123uk »

Hi,

In the manual it says to use Engineers to detect mines and when you zoom out you can see a clear path of green where it is safe to walk.
Is there any way of the player placing mines? Does the happen in only a battle maker or can it be done during a single player game?

Also not all Engineers can clear mine and the Assult Engineers cant either - is this right?

Many Thanks,

Andy

Can't place mines, except if you code your own map.

Engineers with mine-clearing capability work best when sneaking through the minefield.  Then zoom out and the red dots will be replaced with green.  It is tricky to get it to work.

Hopefully that would be resolved in the next game- Imagine being able to place a few mines during the setup phase. I reckon it would be cool.
Or at least different.

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away;
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air.
You better watch out,
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Iraq, and i have seen
Things are not what they seem.
