Heres the Deal........Should we do a contest?

Best Map for SPWAW ever created..

Needed.. 12 judges...(only the first 15 will be answered) send judges request to----------------------------------


Rules..(TENATIVE ONLY!!)

1. Any map from any Scenario (down-loaded or not) may enter. You may enter your own map
but may not judge.

2. No Campigan or MC map may be entered.

3. No map series may be entered, only single maps.

4. All maps must be in by 05-01-02

5. All votes must be in by 05-31-02, please do not vote here, send votes to---------------------------

6. All designers are to enter their maps here by attaching file to ---------
All maps will be posted in this forum, under "A NEW MAP" and a map #

7. Map Entry cut off is 05-01-02

8. Only 20 entries will be allowed.

9. You must vote by map number (#) and give a reason way you voted for (this) map.

10. Points: Each judge may enter one of the followig catagories once.

Wierd (and cool) 25

Not to over-complicate things...but shouldn't the contest have the maps in categories...like summer / winter and urban / country?
I have seen some winter maps that because of the contrast alone make summer maps look a bit plain, even though they are works of art themselves. Also, in my opinion...open country maps are a bit easier to make than "really good" city maps...so those of the SPWAW community that are out there and have made some really sweet urban maps would possibly be passed over...simply because country maps have so much more terrain and contrasts to work with.
Anyway....just a newbie throwing in his 2 cents...but I love the idea. I even have a map or two that I will finish up so I can throw one into the mix.

Hey Jess. I like this idea. Maybe we should have categories suchn as plains, forrest, city, beach, jungle, mountain and desert. These match up with the editor...

Just a suggestion.
