Error in defeat of Chungking.

Post by chiefgalles »

I have been running a solitary scenario from the Japanese side. I have isolated and conquered Chungking, capturing 76 enemy units. When I tried to advance my troops from Chungking against Yunan and Chengtu, the game does not allow it, implying that there are still forces in the city of Chungking. I checked by saving the game and reopening in an head to head scenario, and there were no hidden or residual forces in Chungking. The Japanaese armies all still show the full selection of battle choices and will not accept orders to move. This is taking place around 1/17/1943 game time. Is this a corrected error, and if so where is it corrected?

That was in scenario 015 of mod 1.50. It is now academic since I did an upgrade to 1.80 and consequently lost the saved game. Thank you for your reply.

Apparently you are playing the stock version of WITP, not a modified scenario?
The "mods" have higher scenario numbers,015 being a "stock"(vanilla) scenario.....
In this example, the scenario itself should not explain what happened to you, but it might have.

Thank you all for your rapid responses to my query. I am now working on getting back to that area of the scenario to see what is happening. It will take me quite a while, if I manage to hold on that long against the aggressors.
