NO OVERWATCH???

UFO: Extraterrestrials is a futuristic real-time/turn-based strategy blend set on the fictional planet of Esperanza in 2025. Having made a bloody first contact with a strange form of life from another planet, the player is thrust into the tough position of leading the defense of this isolated planet against the never-ending assault of these hostile invaders

NO OVERWATCH???

I can't seem to find the option of leaving your troopers on overwatch (i.e save AP's for shooting as an when ET's turn) In UFO 1 you could select a each trooper to save AP's for a particular shot each round. Any ideas????

You do this yourself by not using up their APs. It lists how many APs they have and when you are moving the box shows how many you are going to use. Always leave them with 20-30 APs and they'll have a chance to do reaction fire.

phewwww many thanks, as without that the game would have serious problems! Shame it doe's not explain it in the manual. I must say the manual is very un-informayive!

They only seem to do Snap-Shot as opportunity fire. So note how much it costs for that soldier, and you can get anything up to 2-4 snap shots in if you reserve enough.

Yeah, I find it irritating not being able to force saving points.
