Fleet Action: Quick Battle Strategy

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Fleet Action: Quick Battle Strategy

Post by Didz »

Has anyone got a clue what the best strategy is for placing ships on the quick battle screen?

I tend to be quite simplistic in my approach as 'The Nelson Touch' requires enemy ships to be 'engaged more closely' and so I stuff all my line of battle ships in the 'Melee Line'. But I'm not sure if that is realy the best strategy. I notice the AI distributes its ships between the Melee and Volley line.

Any thoughts?

You should take a look at the war room and Ralegh's guide as well as other older threats.
