Giving Orders to Allies

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Giving Orders to Allies

Post by Didz »

In the 1805 strategy guide for Britain it suggests ordering Russia to rally its troops in Vienna at the start of the game.

However, I'm at a loss as to how I do this. Presumably its a diplomatic option but I'm not sure how to make it happen, can anyone help?

Some countries are allied at the start of a scenario and the diplomacy - view relations screen will confirm who is allied or at war. To offer an alliance you will need to create a new treaty or to accept one you need to view the treaties on offer using the other diplomacy screen buttons.

Rallying is the game term for getting your ally to concentrate its forces on a particular target province (either friendly or enemy owned). This is done through the military screen using the bottom row buttons. Click on next ally until the ally concerned appears - then click set rally location and a map of provinces appears and you choose the province where you want the allied forces to rally. They will start to act on this within a couple of turns.
