A different UFO game

Post by JudgeDredd »

I played a space sim once and I'm sure it was called X-Com something or other.

Basically, kind of the same expect instead of turn based tactical battles, it was space flight sim. You had a planet and had to expand to other planets and systems.

For the life of me, I can't remember for the life of me what it was called, but I had a lot of fun playing it.

Anyone know it?

that first person shooter based on X-Com always looked like it would of been fun, too bad it went down the drain

Somehow I played and beat that game. It was punshingly hard (weapons were very inaccurate) until you got the tech for a targeting computer. Then all of your shots were auto targeted (turret mounts I guess). Then you just pointed and shot, rinse and repeat. That was when I was young, so games didn't have to be "good" for me to like them. I still didn't like X-Com: Apocalypse. That was just trash.
