Kickoffs

After downloading the numerous patches the kickoff only goes to the opposing teams thirty. I have not seen a deep kick even after tinkering with the constraint file. How do I fix this? I remember on the first release the kicker would kick the ball in the endzone. What happenred?

Im using the 1.3.149 patch, and I do see kickoffs go into the endzone...US and Indoor both.

I will say to beware of making any judgements based on generated players in the quick play. They arent top of the heap. But in league mode, I do see it some. I see 1 or 2 a game.

I'm using the same patch since i haven't updated to the 179 versino yet and my kickoffs get to the 8 yard line but never any deeper.

I just watched a game in my indoor league, most went to about the 6yd line. A couple went into the endzone.

I do think that since David couldnt simulate the nets of the AFL, the ball staying in play most of the time is a good thing. At least for the Indoor Game.
As for the CFL and American rule games, I would probably want to see more go into the endzone. There are times when that can be a useful strategy. Oh the times I screamed at the TV when my Steelers kicked the ball directly to Eric Metcalf...AH!!

I messed around with the kickoff settings in the constants file, tried different numbers. Large increments, and small.

I think that all the contributing factors to a given play are not going to allow just one number change to show a dramatic affect. Which in my opinion is good. I dont want to tweak a number and get touchbacks every time. Anyone who has tinkered with the Madden sliders knows how wonky that can get.

Im pretty sure David has advised that any changes made, should be small increments....Im thinking like a 15 to a 15.5 as opposed to 15 to 20.
At least I have noticed that the small moves up or down seem to show results.

I will say, I play Indoor rules almost exclusively, so thats where most of my experience with this game is.
