Today we can let the world know that we have stopped the invasion of Germany.We have in a huge battle destroyed a Tank corp and forced 3 others to head for Russia.We are eagerly waiting to liberate the former Polish land.

The front has moved very little over the last 3 weeks as both sides gather strength.

Loki receives disasterous news from the alternate world of T'39 and RickyB. Then braces himself, 'it will not happen that way in this reality'
This invasion may have setbacks but in the end....
(reclamation teams will be hauling german tank hulks to the smelters to be turned into harvesters to work the great collectives on the north german plains)

This is the latest broadcast from our beloved leader and Führer Adolf Hitler.

-I as a leader of the German people.I swear to all you who lives under the oppression of the bolscheviks.That before 43 is over you are going to be free once and for all.I swear to you all also that Stalin the scourge of the west will be hanged as soon as we reach Moscau!

After this broadcast the Führer also tell us about the production is being switched to all out war.We know that the German people will understand that there sacrifice will be honoured by the men at the front.

Now that is a pair of guantlets thrown down that i can't ignor. <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">

Be assured that from now on all my meagre skills will be turned to causing as much pain for the axis as possible. Holding ground now becomes a secondary priority to making the average german soldier dread the thought of being posted to the 'east'.

Your suspicion is correct. Loki/Nostradamus sees german blood all over the western USSR right up to the pripyat and maybe even further east but that is as far as it will go. In the end the great collectives on the north german plains and rebuilt industry in the Ruhr will see me through to world domination. HAHAHA (thats an evil laugh by the way)

There has been a long period of mud/snow where the axis has nibbled at the soviet line with a few minor advances. About 4 hexes taken SE of Tilsit and 2 or 3 East of Ploesti (an a few West of Lvov.)
The Soviets however are quite strong now and the german will have his hands full come '43
The resurgent VVS is beating off many airbase attacks thanks to the long range of the Yak9.

Update

It is now Mid march '43 and the germans are getting their industry pounded by the Allies.
They are also suffering significant losses in the air to the VVS.
Limmited german attacks over the last three months have all been pushed back to their start lines and the soviets have over 20K squads,1500 t34-m43 and 500 KV1s in reserve pool.
Zukhov is thinking of an all out attack come summer instead of waiting to counter a german one.

We the German people.Defenders of the western culture denies these outrages lies from the Sovietside.We have Airsupremecy,the best Panzers and the best moral.But we are a peace loving people.That is why we havent whipped The Sovietunion of the face of the earth.We have cause so much damage to the Red Army that there can be no summeroffensiv for them.We make the strike where and when we please!

It is now early May and soon good weather will return (after 3 months of mud)

Stavka has decide to let the axis make the first move as he is sure they will expend great effort to reclaim german soil still held by the USSR.
(Tilsit for example)
The idea that the integrity of the Soviet Union could be threatened in any way is laughable

As it looks now for the German army we are thinking about an offensiv.That once and for all will liberate all of the western part of russia from the communist yoke.The only reason it has taken some time is that we enjoy the the early spring rain.For the food production we mean.
