Scenario question

Post by BigBog »

I thought I saw a thread re: one scenario that was not compatible with the latest beta version...? [&:] Can anyone confirm which on it is?

Thanks

The July scenario was renamed; this renaming caused people who were playing the scenario under the old name to be unable to continue. However, there is a fix for this: simply make a copy of the new version of the scenario folder ("The_Coming_Fury_(July_1861)_s") and then rename the copy to the old scenario name ("July_1861_s"). Though I haven't tested this, it should suffice to make the scenario compatible with old save game files.

The current public beta installer actually automatically removes the old obsolete July scenario. Once you install 1.9.16d, you should only have compatible and up to date scenarios.

And although it's been mentioned elsewhere, I just want to repeat the following for those who haven't seen the other thread:

The Coming Fury campaign that's marked "balanced" is actually the historical setup. The other one, which is unlabled, is the balanced version.

Thanks Erik! Enjoying this FoF game---best Civil War stategy game ever, and I've played all of them for the PC....(not that there were that many...lol)! Reminds me of an enhanced version of the old Victory Games 'Civil War', which I enjoyed, as well. [;)]
