Joining weak units?

Post by decaro »

Has anyone ever successfully used CTRL-C to combine two weakened units into a single, stronger one, and if so, how exactly did you do it?

I'm playing under the latest patch, and in addition to supply issues, I've never understood this keystoke.

the units must be of the same type, ie 2 Regular regiments which have in total 4 companies can be combined into one.

In other words, you can't do anything with companies in the red, i.e., you can't combine the red companies from regiments together so that they are no longer "red".

You can only combine regiments w/two or less companies into one regiment with four or less companies; if the companies were in the red, they would still be in the red, only now in one regiment, n'est pas?

yes, regiments in red recover freely in BOA (if you have some excess supply), so this would not be a good idea anyway, 95% of the case.

OK, but under the supply restrictions of 1.12, excess supply isn't as available as it used to be; it now depends a lot on where your troops are and what season it is.

to recover hits (= men in a given company). Sure, it is intended that way...
