animation help

Im at wits end

my opponent and i are playing a non historical CHS (latest ver) on AB Map (latest version). Hes jap, im allied. thing is i dont get any animations but he does. all the relevant tabs are on and we've read the other thread on animations thoroughly but i just dont get the damn things going.

We changed from hist to non-hist start because of the animations bug, he was getting them in turn 2 but i didnt

so can anyone help before i apply a flame thrower on WitP thanks

check your settings. share wp.prfs with opponent to keep them identical.

sometimes it takes longer to have animation back.

Thanks, Helpless. Cantona is my worthy adversary, so I've sent him copy of my wp.prfs file as you suggest. Hope this does the trick! What you say suggests we may have to play more than one turn before his animations come back - is that correct?

Yes,,,he should make sure his animations are on by entering the Prefs menu on the Top Bar of the game screen before he ends his turn...

IIRC, it took for us 2-3 turns to come back.

Helpless, Treespider, thanks for your assistance.  Sharing the preferences file hasn't resolved the problem for my opponent immediately, but we will play on and hope the animations come back in a few turns.
