...testing the new Beta

Post by Darthwolle »

Hallo guys,

first of all the betapatch makes the game more challenging. No more blind assaulting by the computer. You´re doing a very nice job [&o].

But to improve this outstanding (since the last civil war campaign games... a long time ago!) civil war game I have some Idea´s. Maybe you take some time and think of it.

1. During nightbattles I am able to use my cavalry for searching the supply waggons and attack them. I can go through the enemy line and they do nothing. Maybe that could be changed (raise the fatigued factor during night marches)? [;)]

2. It would be interesting to see how much prisoners I have taken after battle... I some brigades surrenders to me I don´t know how much guy´s I have taken. And who was the commander... would be interesting afterwards to know which leader sits in prison. [:D]

3. One point is disturbing when a detailed battle begins. The deployment of the army makes sometimes no sense. Divisions splitted throughout the whole map... Why Iam not able to adjust a "marching order". Maybe I could be able to give with my marching order on the strategic map parallel a formation order like:
In front 10th division Heth followed by Hill rear guard Jackson and so on.... and so if my army gets in enemy contact I have a bit more good order at the starting of the detailed battle. please think of it [&o]

4. Another point during the detailed battle is the range of artillery units... why some rifles have the same range as artilliery??? I think its strange...[&:]

At the end I would thank you for these game... I is well done. Iam looking forward to the new official patch.

Best regards from Germany,

Darthwolle.

2. In the report you will see the name of the general who surrendered to you, so you get to know who waits in your prison to be exchanged.
